Sights and Sounds of Central Market: International Art Museum of America

Two years ago, we knew almost nothing about the palatial white facade going up on at 1025 Market Street. We heard rumors of saffron-robed monks shuffling in and out – and about a live stream flowing through the building. Now, the International Art Museum has been open for almost a year, revealing a surreal oasis on Central Market.

For 2 Blocks of Art, the museum opens its doors through 8 p.m. for folks to discover one of San Francisco’s newest cultural treasures. Catch Citizens Jazz performing outside of the museum on September 28, and Garrett Kobsef Trio performing on October 19.
