In the episode of Deep Roots, we meet with William Rhodes, a furniture sculpture artist who is concurrently working with three of the four City-owned Cultural Centers. He is a teaching artist for the Dare to Dream youth arts program at Bayview Opera House and created an installation with his students for this year’s Day of the Dead exhibition at SOMArts Cultural Center. He also has the prestigious honor of being selected for a solo exhibition in the Sargent Johnson Gallery at African American Art and Culture Complex, on view through February 2013.
How did William arrive at his spiritual evolution into arts? Listen and find out!
