Introducing Citidex: Putting the Neighborhoods at Your Finger Tips

The NEN, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, the City Administrator and the Dept of Technology are proud to launch Citidex - the City’s online rolodex for neighborhood groups.

What is Citidex?

Citidex is on an online database that inventories neighborhood & merchant associations from all over San Francisco so that everyone can find the groups they want to join or communicate with.

How does it work?

Citidex is “crowd managed” meaning that the data about the groups is actually posted on Citidex by the group itself – ensuring its accuracy and relevance.

 Why is Citidex different?

Citidex goes beyond the standard “name / address / phone number” model.  It offers a broader data set about the group that gives a deeper understanding of the organization, its history and mission.

Who manages Citidex?

The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services oversees the data base on a daily basis.

How can I add my group to Citidex?

It’s easy – just go to…

A big “Thank You” goes out to the organizations that have already added their data.
